celebrating with
a giveaway!
I am incredibly fortunate to have followers like you! Thank you for your support and interest! Heartfelt thanks to the lovely variety of book people with whom I am connected...blog followers, Twitter peeps, GFC cronies, Linky members, book bloggers, authors, and Goodreads friends...you all continue to broaden my literary horizons and friendships.

Have you ever read any book by Thornton Wilder? I found his works spiritually enlightening. I would recommend his novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey and a play called Our Town. Both won Pulitzer!
ReplyDeleteHi Melisa,
DeleteGreat suggestions. I saw the play of Our Town years and years ago(cried my eyes out by the way), but never thought to read the book. I'll give that author a try.
Thanks!
Beth :-)
I didn't even know you had a blog! Doh!
ReplyDeleteHi Dree,
DeleteYou are so funny! I'm thrilled that you stopped by! I love the fact that you are always reading great books ~
Beth :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Jude,
DeleteBoth sound like great reads...thank you! I will put them on my TBR list on Goodreads.
Beth :-)
May I recommend books by Melina Marchetta? She writes both contemporary and fantasy and both are equally good in my opinion! Also, I think you may enjoy Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. This was originally a UK book but it got released in the US late last year.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,

John Steinbeck - Cannery Row. It's short (192 pages), funny, and a nice introduction to the author if you haven't read him before. If you've read Steinbeck try Jack Kerouac's On The Road or Hubert Selby Jr's Last Exit to Broklyn.
ReplyDeleteUm...Brooklyn.
DeleteHi Carl,
DeleteI've not yet read Cannery Row (I think it's on my list of Classics to read). Thank you for the suggestion...I'll definitely give it a go!
